CLIENT is a fast-growing national supplier of environmental monitoring equipment and supplies.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a position as Regional Account Manager.
This is a sales position responsible for account management, lead generation and prospecting, and consistent growth of revenue for territories covered by our Elmsford NY and Rochester NY office locations.
The majority of time spent will be covering the New York State and New Jersey territories.
WE ARE SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING & ENGINEERING INDUSTRY (Geologist, Environmental Engineer or Scientist, Air Quality Specialist, Project Manager, Field Technician, etc.
) AND/OR EXPERIENCE SELLING ENVIRONMENTAL LABORATORY SERVICES, ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING EQUIPMENT, OR CLOSELY RELATED PRODUCTS OR SERVICES INTO THE ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRY.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Manage existing accounts to ensure year-on-year revenue growth.
Identify, engage, develop and close opportunities from new and prospective accountsDeliver results that meet or exceed the assigned territory's rental, sales & service revenue goalsConduct 20-25 face-to-face customer meetings per monthFollow up on leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns, web hits and other promotional effortsParticipate in trade shows and industry association events within the assigned territoryEmploy effective time, territory, and expense management practicesBuild and manage a professional network of industry contacts; establish close working relationships with key and influential players at engineering and consulting firms in the assigned anize and conduct company presentations, often to groups of 10 or more peopleEffectively utilize and maintain the company's systems to document sales related activitiesManage a dynamic sales pipeline in accordance with company policy and guidelinesSuccessfully execute all activities and objectives outlined in the assigned territory's sales plan Ideal Skills &
Experience:
Bachelors Degree (preferred) or an Associate's Degree from a technical school with a combination of related training and experience.
3-5
years experience working in the environmental consulting and engineering industry and/or experience selling environmental monitoring equipment, environmental laboratory services, or similar products or services, into environmental industry.
Past experience as a Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Environmental Engineer, Environmental Consultant or a Project Manager for an environmental engineering firm is highly desirable.
Past call center or cold calling experience, or a proven ability to handle high call volumes, is a plusExcellent phone skills, sales skills, and an ability to clearly articulate a company's policies and value proposition.
Position Requirements:
Ability to maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time and responsibilities effectively.
Previous experience using a CRM and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
25-40% overnight travel may be required to adequately fulfill the requirements for this position.
Travel requirements may fluctuate with the seasonality of the business.
Valid drivers license, clean driving record, and a clean, reliable vehicle that is readily available to be used for work purposes (mileage reimbursement provided) No previous sales experience required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
