In this role, you will be responsible for curating and creating compelling content for our website and social media channels.
Your designated territory will encompass multiple counties in New Jersey, where you'll gather local news and lifestyle content through regular visits and interactions with the community.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Curate and create engaging written and video content for our website and social media platforms.
- Develop and execute a content calendar one month in advance, featuring seasonal content, evergreen topics, and flexibility for breaking news updates.
- Regularly travel within the assigned territory to gather content, attend local events, and foster relationships.
- Cultivate connections with community members, businesses, and organizations to source relevant content, stories, and potential advertisers.
- Monitor social media channels, analyze performance metrics, and adjust content strategy as needed to optimize engagement and reach.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in using Instagram and other social platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with local small business owners and residents.
- Flexibility to work remotely and travel within the assigned territory multiple times per week.
- Knowledge of New Jersey communities and local culture.
