The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in architecting, engineering, and deploying Oracle Data Warehouse solutions. Experience working in emerging markets. Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration business.
The Oracle Database Administrator will document engineering standards and proposals/recommendations for application databases & architecture data designs, technology solutions and engineering changes; assist in the development of project teams; work with other engineers, network engineers, technical staff and Client Partners, consultants to conceptualize the overall solution and develop/implement technology solutions for our clients; research, evaluate and recommend new tools/technologies, assess emerging solutions and next generation technologies, and assist with developing solutions and developing/publishing whitepapers and points-of-view.
Bachelors degree and/or College Equivalent (Preferred Engineering, Comp-Sci, or Business degrees)
Oracle Database OCA, OCP, and/or OCM Certification.
Skills and Requirements:
A minimum 5 years consulting experience or 5 -- 10
years experience in Oracle DB design, deployment, tuning, and administration.
Deep understanding of Oracle DB, configuration, data model design, data storage, data analytics, data warehousing and operational data stores supporting application
Hands-on expertise with Oracle Solution stack (Oracle 11g, WebLogic, OBIEE, Data Integrator) and Oracle Database Appliance.
Must have hands-on experience/expertise with storage allocation and configuration
Experience of managing consulting solutions, teams and client relationships
Proven track record of successful launch, upgrade, conversion and performance tuning of Oracle solutions and database monitoring solutions including work planning, tracking, status reporting, issue & risk management
Experience with troubleshooting, triaging, diagnosing, and identifying root causes of architecture and database problems.
Understanding and practical experience with data modeling and database concepts and protocols including: RDBMS, RAC or clustering, data recovery, data replication, storage array types, CPUs, memory segments, partitions
Understanding of Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology
Bachelors degree and/or College Equivalent (Preferred Engineering, Comp-Sci, or Business degrees)
