PD Social Worker (MSW)
OverviewMorristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Social Worker.Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Conduct psychosocial assessments and make referrals as needed.
Provide counseling and supportive services to patients/families regarding current medical status.
Assume responsibility for discharge planning and insurance authorizations.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Qualifications
Education:
MSW from an approved graduate School of Social Work
Required License:
NJ LSW or LCSW required

Experience:
Previous medical hospital social work experience strongly preferred.
